Wari at Kumaon Literary Festival

Octave Foundation had an opportunity to travel with Wari to participate in the Kumaon Literary Festival (KLF) held at Jim Corbett between 11-13 October, 2016, and what an experience it was!

Set out during just the perfect October weather, the three-day festival was quite a place for us to be in. We performed three stories from Wari’s Second Chapter – ‘Kuch Nahin Badla Hai’ narrated by Nitin Sukhija, ‘Houdong Lamboiba’ performed by Anuja Jaiman and ‘Bewakoofon Ki Saltanat’ delivered by Azhar Iqbal.

We are grateful to the organizing body of KLF, especially to Dr. Saif Mahmood and Mr. Sumant Batra for enabling Wari’s journey to the scenic festival that is now past its second successful year of conversations on literature, culture and art.
